Three Commandments of Lawn Mowing:

• 1. Mow at the proper height- 3"- 3 1/2" 
• 2. Mow at proper frequency- No more than 1/3 of the total leaf surface should be removed with a single mowing.This means at least once a week during the growing season.
• 3. Keep mower blades sharp- Blades should be sharpened several times each year.
